Serve with us

You can make a difference

At BCC, we believe that every person is uniquely called and gifted by God. We also believe that every person can make a positive difference in someone else’s life. We know life is full and there a thousand things competing for our attention. But we also know that in serving together, you’ll meet new friends, grow in your relationship with Jesus, and have a real and lasting impact on our community.

For more information about serving in our life together as a church, fill out this form.

To volunteer in our local community and elsewhere, read the items below. This is updated as we learn of new opportunities.

Volunteer Opportunities in Our Community

We are looking for more volunteers to help prepare a hot meal to drop off for the residents of the Gardenview Tiny Home Village in Bellingham. We coordinate with one of the village’s staff members to let them know in advance when we're coming and what we're bringing, so that residents can make plans accordingly. If you would like more information, contact Terry Foulke.

Do you have a heart for God and love helping kids grow and heal? Join us in showing Christ’s love to the children at New Way Ministries. This ministry to single moms needs volunteers for both preschool and elementary school children on Tuesday nights (1st and 3rd weeks of each month) and elementary school children during the summer, one morning a week, Tuesday to Friday. For more information, please send an email to Bethany at New Way.

Eight Ways to Help Those Who are Unhoused

Travel to serve out of state or overseas

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a part of a radio ministry? Are you curious about life in the Far North? KICY is a Christian radio station in Nome, Alaska, that is affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church. They are always looking for people with adventurous spirits and a desire to serve God in a remote corner of the world for at least a year. Consider being on-air volunteer staff (no previous experience necessary) or helping with clerical, bookkeeping, audio editing, engineering, or maintenance. Most staff members end up doing a little bit of everything, so a servant’s heart and willingness to learn is key. Volunteers raise their own support. If you want to know more, contact Patty Burchell or visit their website.

Consider a global internship, student teaching abroad, or short-term immersion trip with the ECC. Find out more here.
