Palm Sunday

  • Bellingham Covenant Church 1530 East Bakerview Road Bellingham, WA, 98226 United States (map)

We will celebrate Palm Sunday with a children’s parade near the beginning of the service. Kids will wave palm branches through the aisles as we remember Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem.

This will be an intergenerational service, so children will remain in the sanctuary for the entire service.

*This Sunday is a 5th Sunday, which means that we will stay all together as a church family for the entire service. There is no need to check your kids in, HOWEVER....it is also PALM SUNDAY! So, as you arrive with your kids, be sure to find a greeter, or Megan, who will be handing out palm branches! Your child can take their palm branch to their seat with them. At the start of the second song, children will be invited up (parents, older siblings, all are welcome!), and we will parade around the sanctuary together!

No pressure at all to participate if your kiddo is not one for parading around the sanctuary.

When the song is over, kids will be instructed to leave their palms up front in a large tray and find their parents/caregivers again in their seats.

Following the service, everyone is invited to the multi-purpose room for an Intergenerational Art Activity. Together, we will create an art project that will be displayed on the Art Wall on Easter Sunday.
