Busy Bags for Immigrant Families

The children and youth of BCC are working together to create Busy Bags for Immigrant Families. Rather than filling large bags with assorted gifts, we’re focusing on small, purposeful items designed to keep little hands engaged during their parents’ appointments. These activity packs are simple, portable, and easy for children to use on the go. The goal is not to overwhelm them with things, but to provide meaningful items that help pass the time in a calm and constructive way.  Choose an age range from the list below that you’d like to buys items for, grab a bag for the items, and bring it back by Christmas Eve.  Thanks in advance!

NEXT STEPS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

1.  Choose the age of the child you’d like to build a bag for.

2.  Take the shopping list and one bag for each person you’re building for. You can download the list here

3. Shop for your bags. Take your kids and have fun! Use their ideas and opinions...the list you take is a jumping-off point...have fun and be creative.

4. Bring bags back by Christmas Eve (all items should be unwrapped).

Lists and Bags can be found in Cafe Fika!

Once you’re done, drop bags off right here
