Encountering Jesus in Lent — We are forming small groups for a 4-6-week study called Encountering Jesus, by Douglas Connelly. If you would like to join a Lent group and/or request a copy of the book to use in your current small group or at home, please turn in the inserts by today (offering boxes or kiosks) or email Barbara Goebel at bagoebel@gmail.com.
Religion & State Forum — At the next session, we will be exploring the topic of citizenship and how people of faith can constructively engage in civic and public life. Join us on Wednesday, February 11, from 6:30-8 pm, in Classroom C. Contact Mark Olson for details at markolson48@gmail.com.
Are you interested in art and creativity? – You are invited to come to Classroom C on February 15 during Life Together to help us form an Art Ministry to support art displays and creative activities at BCC. This ministry is open to youth and adults alike. If you have questions or cannot make this gathering, please contact our interim art wall facilitator, Susan Park at sallysuerae@gmail.com.
Celebrating John and Letha Kerl — On Sunday, March 1, John and Letha Kerl will be sharing in the worship service about their life-long missions work, and we will honor them with a special reception after the service. We encourage you to bring a card of celebration and gratitude for the Kerl’s ministry or a note on the impact they have had on you. You can also mail notes and cards to the church for us to give to them. To help with the celebration, contact Pastor Adria at adria@bellinghamcov.org.
Marriage Retreat, March 13-14: Couples of all ages and stages are welcome to join us for a Friday night and Saturday retreat at Lake Samish Day Lodge. Come to grow your marriage, to get to know others, and to enjoy beautiful Lake Samish! Our speakers will be Carlos and Dawn Taloyo: Dawn is a pastor and our associate superintendent, and Carlos is a marriage and family therapist. For lodging, either stay at home or make a weekend of it by staying in a hotel nearby. For more info & to register, visit bellinghamcov.org/marriage-retreat.

Service Opportunity: Women's Ministry is seeking an event coordinator (or team) for our annual Holiday Bazaar. This is a fun and rewarding leadership role where one works with our church staff, members, and outside vendors for a great, hospitality-centered event. Even though the event is in the fall, the planning starts in the spring. For the first year, the coordinator would work side-by-side with experienced members. Please prayerfully consider this ministry. For details or discussion, contact Gladys (gladysbonnerclancy@comcast.net).
