Finanace Update
We have just completed our fiscal year, which runs from March to February. Our budget for this 2025/26 cycle was $853,373. Our total income for the year came in at $850,563, and our expenses were under budget at $844,502, leaving a small difference of +$6061. We are deeply grateful for your continued faithfulness and generous support of the mission and ministry of BCC. Your financial support enables us to continue our mission of creating a community that is growing deeper in Christ for the good of our neighbors!
Next Steps
Interested in being Baptized? - We will be celebrating baptisms on Easter Sunday. Please email Pastor Phil at phil@bellinghamcov.org if you are interested.
Shop for a Cause garage sale is right around the corner! Sign up https://rebrand.ly/9fcs246 or on the poster in the foyer starting this Sunday. We cannot accept car seats, cribs, exercise equipment, encyclopedias, or large furniture, but we can take almost anything else. If you have questions, please ask!
Starting Spring cleaning? – The Women’s Ministry would love your gently used, nice-quality items for our church garage sale. The garage sale blesses many different ministries as well as the community! Drop-off begins April 19 at our drive-up donation event. Please note: we’re unable to store items before this date.
Mowing Ministry –Thanks again to our faithful mowers who have helped keep our grounds beautiful! There will be a sign-up sheet again this year in the foyer if you can help. It takes approximately 3 hours to mow, including some trimming. You will normally mow once a month or less, depending on how many people sign up. Thank you also to those who have mowed more often and are available to sub. For more information, contact Brian at brianaronson84@gmail.com
Help us support a new after-school program! — Our Mission Catalyst and Lead Teams recently approved a grant for Otters Den Nature School: an affordable, after-school, outdoor learning program held on BCC property that gives children hands-on opportunities to explore, play, and learn in nature while building confidence, curiosity, and a love of nature. The Spring Pilot will run from April 21 to June 11. If you have children in grades 3-5, consider registering them for Outdoor School or Summer Tech Camps to help provide scholarships for other local students to experience this quality program. If you love children and the outdoors, consider volunteering. For more information, visit www.ottersden.org or contact Amy Keiper-Gowan at amy@ottersden.org.
Help us care for God’s creation! BCC’s Creation Care team is partnering with the City of Bellingham and Ridwell to sponsor a drive-through recycling event on Saturday, April 25, from 12 to 3 pm, in our church’s parking lot. For more information visit http://cob.org/earthday2026. For general inquiries, contact Heather Merchant at hfmerchant@yahoo.com.
