Recycling Drive-Thru
Saturday, April 25, 12-3 PM — BCC parking lot
Clear your clutter and reduce your environmental impact by bringing your hard to-recycle items to our drop-off event! We have partnered with the City of Bellingham and Ridwell to collect these items:
sensitive documents for shredding — No need to remove staples, paper clips, or notebook spirals.
electronic waste for refurbishment or recycling — old TVs, computer monitors, desktop computers, laptops, tablets, e-readers, and portable DVD players
batteries of all kinds for recycling
used athletic shoes — Please tie or rubber-band matching shoes together. NOT ACCEPTED: NON-ATHLETIC FOOTWEAR OF ANY KIND (dress shoes, heels, sandals, wedges, water socks, boots, crocs, cleats, and non-athletic styles). Reusable shoes go to second-hand markets for resale to those in need. Heavily used and damaged shoes are recycled or converted to create new energy.
plastic “film” — Plastic film includes CLEAN grocery bags, zip top bags, plastic shipping envelopes, bubble wrap, bread bags, produce bags, and thin, flexible plastic that wraps around packaging. Ridwell will then do a one-time pickup of BCC’s accumulated plastic film and send it to TREX to be recycled into plastic lumber.

Please note: We will NOT be collecting any of these items at the church before the above events.
Vespers Prayer Service
First Sundays, 7 PM — Sanctuary
You are invited to join Vespers, a prayer service in the style of Taizé, an ecumenical form of prayer modeled after the Taizé community founded in the 1940's by Br. Roger in Taizé, France. Christians of all traditions share in this ecumenical prayer. The simple monthly service consists of song (using the simple chants of the Taizé community), scripture, a service of light, an extended period of silence concluding with prayers for the world.
Prime Timers
2nd Thursdays, 12:30-2:00 PM — Dining Room
Meet with other seniors for a potluck, fellowship, and conversation around various topics. For more information, contact Jim Bruns.
