Classes For Adults
Life Together: Sundays, 10:45 a.m.
We like to say that we prefer to put a comma after each Sunday worship service rather than a period. This simply means we don’t expect you to rush off right after our service ends. Instead, we hope that you would join us and experience all aspects of our community life. Each phase is intended to give you an opportunity to connect with God and our broader church community in a variety of ways: classes, small groups, browsing the library, or meeting a friend in our Café Fika.… Take advantage of the opportunities to grow and connect!
1) Sermon Discussion
Facilitator: Martin Schlomer
— Classroom A, April 12 - May 17
A study the Scripture texts and discussion of the points and consequences of the morning’s sermon.
2) From the Heart
Facilitator: Mark Olson, Rachel Gulleson
— Classroom C, April 12 - May 17
We will pause to listen to the personal stories of several members of our church. In the words of Covenant pastor Mike Guerrero, we will be “growing into what it means to be one in Christ” as we listen and ponder what people in our church family have to offer through their life stories.

Religion and State Forum: An Exploration of a Complicated Relationship
Facilitator: Mark Olson — monthly on Wednesdays, 6:30-8 PM, Classroom C
Over the course of the last couple of decades the world has witnessed numerous attempts to unite a particular religion with government. At the same time, history provides many examples of similar attempts over the course of several millennia. In our monthly discussions we focus primarily on issues related to the Christian community and models for engagement with culture and the state. Particular attention is given to Jesus and the teachings of the New Testament. The group helps shape the agenda based on questions and concerns that are expressed as the discussion develops. Contact Mark Olson for more information.
Upcoming sessions:
* April 22: discussion of book, Resident Aliens: Life in the Christian Colony, by Stanley Hauerwas and William H. Willimon
