On July 9, 2018, Paul Petersen announced to the Lead Team his desire to complete his role as Lead Pastor at BCC effective January 31, 2019. The lay leadership team honors and supports Paul in this decision, as it has come out of obedience to what he has discerned to be God's will in his life at this time.
In this season of transition, the leadership team will be working with Bellingham Covenant Church staff to make sure our communication to the congregation is clear. To that end, in addition to in-person announcements and emails, we plan on updating this page regularly with important dates and information as we go through this process.

July 22 | Pastor Paul's announcement; leadership team will be available to field questions after the service.
September 9 | A Congregational Meeting will be held following the worship service at 11:00am where the Leadership Team will give an update on the Lead Pastor transition process.
September 16 | A meeting will be held in the sanctuary following the worship service at 11:00am where the Leadership Team will go over the results of the PULSE 2 survey and solicit feedback from the congregation.
October 7 | Deadline for submitting Search Committee nominations to the Leadership Team.
January 5 | Pastor Paul and Kappy's Celebration Program with meal following (Time TBA).
January 6 | Pastor Paul and Kappy's last Sunday at Bellingham Covenant.
