Giving to the mission and ministry of Bellingham Covenant Church is an intentional act of worship. Our ethic of giving is built on a theology of receiving: God is the giver, we are the receivers. We strive to be a generous community with both our finances and our time so that we can respond to those in need in our Bellingham community and around the world. Although sharing our time and our resources are both important, this particular site is focused on financial giving.
We receive three types of financial gifts:
•Tithes – a fixed % of income given regularly
•Offerings – contributing to the mission and ministry of the church
•Designated Gifts – directed to a particular ministry or missions project
There are many methods of giving financially. Many people donate in person during worship services, others donate through a Bill-pay service provided by their bank and still others donate electronically through the internet, such as facilitated by this website.
Anyone may contribute to Bellingham Covenant Church’s ministries. Before you give we ask that, as an act of worship, you take a moment and pray.
Here is a convenient Prayer that you may find useful. Please use your imagination, and pray from your heart:
Joyous God, who fills our hearts with delight, touch us in our giving, that we may show in daily practice that we love you more and more. Help us, by the example of your Son, to give money and bread and love wherever they are needed. May this church always be an outpost for giving the great things of life and faith. In the Lord’s Spirit and power. Amen.
